How long does a Schedule of Condition inspection Take?

The duration of the Schedule of Condition inspection depends on the size of the property, and its current condition.

However, we would advise allowing anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours in this time the Surveyor undertaking the inspection will ensure a thorough photographic and written record of the property.

Will the Schedule of Condition Report help me in the event of a damage claim?

Yes, providing the Schedule of Condition Report was prepared in advance of the neighbouring owner’s construction work commencing. Or prior to signing a new tenancy.

The report will then be crucial in confirming if alleged damage is new.

What parts of the property will be inspected?

The extent of the Schedule of Condition inspection will very much vary depending on the reports purpose.If this is in relation to construction works, the Surveyor will inspect all areas within 3m-6m of the construction works that are taking place.

The inspection covers both internal and external areas.
